The first step towards adopting your new family member is to get pre-approved by completing our Persian Kitten Application.

Each year, hundreds apply, but only a select few are chosen to receive a Nautilus Persian kitten. Every applicant is carefully reviewed to ensure that each kitten is placed in a home that meets our high standards of care, commitment, and lifestyle compatibility.

What We Look For:

Reservation of our kittens by pre-approved families are accepted on a first come first serve basis

Approximately two weeks before kittens are made available for reservation, pre-approved individuals will be notified via email. The email will tell you exactly what day and time (all times are Pacific Standard Time)the kittens will be made available to reserve.

Our kitten available notification emails will contain a link to our direct reservation page. Use the link to access the direct reservation page at the exact time and day the email mentioned and keep refreshing your page until the button to “Reserve Now” becomes active on your desired kitten. The first approved applicant to click on the ‘Reserve Now’ button will be directed to our secure online payment page for you to pay the $500 non-refundable reservation fee for the kitten. 

The individual that pays the deposit will be emailed our contract for signature, and you will receive a phone call by me from (253) 290-2740 to congratulate you and arrange pick-up/delivery. 

We will update you with pictures and videos as they grow up here at Nautilus Persians.

In the unlikely circumstance that a kitten is not reserved on its reservation day it will be made available on our available kitten page the following day for reservation.

All of our Persian kittens are sold through a written contract. Once you reserve your kitten you'll receive a copy of the contract to review, sign and return to us. Covered are health guarantees, altering requirements, and care for your kitten.

Once your kitten is at least weeks old depending, has received a health check and been vaccinated, your kitten will be ready to join your family!

If you live within driving distance, you're welcome to pick your new Persian kitten up from our cattery in beautiful Ocean Shores, Washington.  Make sure you bring a comfy carrier for your kitten to travel home in!

Don't live within driving distance? Your kitten can fly in-cabin with us to your closest airport and we'll meet you there in person with your kitten. You also can fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and we'll meet you there so you can pick-up your kitten. If we fly to you the cost of an airline approved car carrier will be included in your delivery fee.

The remaining balance for your reserved kitten is due the day of, if picking up in person, or 5 days prior if we are flying your kitten to you.

Our Nautilus Persian kittens are known for being very curious and adaptable. They tend to settle into their forever homes very quickly.

Even though are kittens are quick to settle we still recommend that you confine your new kitten to one small room such a bathroom or bedroom for at least three days to help keep your Persian kitten as stress-free as possible.

While in isolation, you can monitor how well they eat, drink, and uses their litter box. Don't be surprised if your kitten doesn't poop for 24 to 48 hours. This is normal behavior for a kitten when it has a change of environment.

You should place your kitten in his/her new litter box several times when they arrive at home. They will not use the litter box at that time. Instead, they probably just jump out and carry on with exploring their new environment, but placing the kitten in the litter box will remind them of where it is when it's time to potty. If by some off chance your kitten pees or poops outside of the litter box - put the waste in the appropriate litter box. Do not allow the kitten to come out of quarantine until they are using the litter box.

Make sure to sit in the room with your kitten, at their level and interact with them using a toy and offer lots of gentle pets. Nautilus Persians are known for their affectionate personalities and love receiving pets and cuddles. Your new kitten likely will come right up to you and seek your love.

Nautilus Persians tend to be very confident and act like they're unfazed by going to their new homes. Regardless of the initial reaction that your kitten gives, it's essential to keep the kitten or cat confined for three days. This helps them get used to their new home and their litter box location.

If your kitten seems to be fully acclimated after three days, introduce them to the rest of the home. It's the right time.

Our kittens go home with a small bag of Royal Canin Persian Kitten food and a guide to switching their kibble if you decide to feed another option.

Every Nautilus Persian kitten includes a month of free health insurance through Trupanion. Make sure to activate your month of free health insurance.

Our contract says that “Buyer has 3 days from shipping/pick-up date to have cat/kitten checked for life threatening congenital health issues by a licensed Veterinarian and If any life-threatening congenital defect illness is found the buyer may at his/her option and within 3 days of the veterinary diagnosis elect to either  A) return said cat to Seller at Buyer's sole expense for full refund; or B) return said cat to Seller at Buyer's sole expense for a replacement cat/kitten of equal value,  if and when available.” so make sure to get your new kitten in for a check-up within 72 hours of bringing them home.
