We really like these reusable tissues for wiping the eyes of our Persian cats and kittens. As an alternative you can also use one-time use tissues.

These are used at the start of the eye care routine to wipe away any eye boogies before using the bamboo make-up pads and Renu to cleanse. They are also used at the end of the eye care routine to dry the eyes of Persian cats and kittens.

Renu Contact Lens Solution is a must have for cleaning the eyes of Persian cat & kittens. This product will help remove tear stains from your cat or kitten’s eyes. It’s ingredients works on the protein in the tears of cats and kittens which is what causes the "rust" colored tears and stains under the eyes.

To Use: At least once daily you should apply this solution to a make-up remover pad and gently cleanse your Persian cat or kitten’s eyes. Use one make-up remover pad coated in the solution per eye to keep things sanitary.

After wiping your Persian cat or kitten’s eyes with a soft tissue apply Renu Contact Lens Solution to a pad and gently cleanse one eye. Apply more Renu to a second round and cleanse the other eye. Then dry both eyes with a new soft tissue.

This little dispenser is perfect for getting the right amount of Renu on our make-up pad. Simply fill it with your Renu, place your make-up pad on it and push a few times to dispense the Renu onto the pad. This helps to keep you from putting too much Renu on our pad and getting your Persian cat or kitten’s eyes too wet with Renu.

This is our favorite eye powder for Persian cats and kittens. When applied daily, it helps to keep your cat or kitten’s eyes dry and stain free. It also helps to eliminate bacterial growth that can often accompany the formation of tear stains.

After cleaning and drying your cat or kitten’s eyes apply this powder around their eyes.

Here at Nautilus Persians we use Dawn Platinum or Filthy Animal as the first step in the bathing process as a degreaser. We dilute it with 4 parts water to 1 part soap, apply to wet coat, work up lather, and allow to set for 2 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

Kelco’s Filthy Animal is an all-natural and biodegradable ultra concentrated shampoo. It is great for extra dirty Persian cats and kittens with degreasing and deep cleaning properties. It does not contain soap or detergent and rinses well from the coat. This shampoo also repels fleas and ticks naturally.

Here at Nautilus Persians we often use filthy animal as the first step in the bathing process as a degreaser. We dilute it with 4 parts water to 1 part shampoo, apply to wet coat, Work up lather, and allow to set 5 min before rinsing thoroughly.

Hydra Volumizing Shampoo is a concentrated shampoo that contains wheat proteins which boosts volume and increases the texture of coats, promoting increased volume.

After applying Filthy Animal we dilute this shampoo using 4 parts water to 1 part shampoo, apply to wet coat, work up lather and then rinse throughly.

Chris Christensen White on White Shampoo gets the yellow out of the white parts of your bi-color Persian’s coat. This product is an optic intensifying treatment within a shampoo, removing all yellow stains from white fur while leaving a lustrous sheen on darker parts of the coat.

We use this shampoo after Hydra’s Volumizing Shampoo. Apply to the entire coat, excluding the face, and allow to sit for 2-7 minutes depended on how yellow the cat or kitten’s coat is. Then rinse throughly.

Gentle enough for newborns and good for the whole family, Johnson's Head-To-Toe Baby Wash & Shampoo makes this baby wash tear-free and as gentle to eyes as pure water.

Here at Nautilus Persians we use this tearless shampoo to wash the faces of our Persian cats and kittens during bath time. We apply shampoo to a wet washcloth, gently cleanse the face and rinse.

Hydra Moist Conditioner, is an exclusive and extremely concentrated formula. It contains grape seed oil and oat extract to moisturize and soothe the skin and coat while providing shine and softness.

After shampoo with White on White we dilute 1 part of Hydra Moisturizing Conditioner to 10 parts of water and apply it to the coat. Then we work it into the coat, allow to sit for 2 minutes then rinse thoroughly.

The Drybo Plus Automatic Pet Dryer allows you to dry your Persian cat or Kitten without having to stand over them with a blow dryer for what seems like forever. It is ultra quiet, has a variety of modes, and can evenly dry your cat or kitten in under an hour.

After towel drying our cats or kittens we place them in the Drybo on Quick-Dry Mode. Once the time is up we remove the cat or kitten and fluff the coat using our Flying Pig Grooming Dryer.

This professional grooming dryer quickly and throughly dries the coats of Persians while helping the coat to reach maximum levels of volume and fluff.

We use this dryer to finish drying and to fluff up the coats of our cats and kittens after using our Drybo Plus to mostly dry them. We always use it on no or low heat and set the force to minimum.

Nail Clippers are a must in a Persian cat or kitten’s care it. These clipper in particular are shorter in length which makes the clippers easier to control and maneuver. The small blades allow for safer and more precise trimming of nails and provide quick and easy clipping for an stress-free experience for you and your cat. lastly, the non-slip rubber handle provides a firm grip for safe and comfortable clipping

We trim our Persians’ nails after their weekly bath. While the kitty is wrapped in a towel we pull out one paw at a time, squeeze the paw pad so the cat or kitten sticks thier nails our and trim.

No matter how careful you are, anyone who has ever trimmed their cat’s nails has at some point, clipped too close to the quick. Be prepared to stop bleeding fast with Kwik Stop Styptic Products containing pain relieving Benzocaine.

If you need to use this product, moisten a make-up pad and sprinkle some syptic powder onto the moist pad then press to the nail using moderate pressure for five to ten seconds.

Cat nail caps are a fantastic option for helping to protect your furniture, clothing and skin from your cat or kitten’s claws. They are easy to apply with practice, are comfortable and will not interfere with your cat or kitten’s normal behavior.

Do not trim kittens claws before applying nail caps. You will need a sufficient claw surface for the glue to adhere properly. For adult cats do trim your cats nails prior to applying. Apply a drop of glue to the inside of the nail cap then grasp the paw of your cat or kitten and squeeze the pad to expose the mail. Next slightly push aside the fur around the nail and put the nail caps onto the claw. Wait until the adhesive is dry and continue with the next nail until all nails are covered.

We use this once a week before bathtime to clean or cat and kitten’s ears. Shame well before use. Apply generously to ear and ear canal. Gently rub accessible portion of ear with a cotton ball. Use a new clean cotton ball for each ear. Repeat if necessary until cotton ball comes out clean.

Here at Nautilus Persians our cats and kittens are trained to drink out of small pet water bottles. Using a small pet water bottle for your Persian cat or kitten rather then a traditional bowl helps to keep their water cleaner and fresher and it also helps to keep your Persian’s face and ruff dry and clean.

Despite what some may believe, cats will learn to use these bottles well. In our cattery, some take to them immediately, while others take two or three days. One helpful trick for getting a cat or kitten to use one is to put some tuna juice inside the bottle and to coat the ball joint with extra tasty wet food. The cat or kitten will lick off the wet food, taste the yummy tuna juice and from then on will associate the bottle as being a place to find a tasty drink.

Like bowls, the bottle and the attachment should be cleaned regularly. We rinse and refill two times at most, then wash them out with soap or detergent, and soak them in a mild bleach solution. This cleans and sanitizes the nooks and crannies of the valve and tube and the bottle. For maximum efficiency combine with a glass bottle.
