Meet Red

This handsome red and white, blue-eyed boy was born on 09/20/2024.

Red can be a little shy when meeting new people (aren't we all?), but once he feels comfortable, he is incredibly loving. He is the epitome of a lap cat, always ready to curl up beside his favorite person and enjoy quiet moments together. If you're looking for a devoted companion who wants to be close to his people, Red may be your perfect match.

We retired this sweet boy from our breeding program because we are moving away from breeding bicolor Persians and focusing instead on tabby Persians.

Red gets along well with kittens, easygoing female cats, and non-dominant male cats. He is a confident cat who enjoys being in charge and generally prefers companions who are happy to let him take the lead. Because of this, he may not be the best match for homes with other strong-willed or dominant males, as he is not one to back down from a challenge.

In terms of grooming, Red is relatively low maintenance for a Persian. His eyes require minimal care, and his coat is not especially prone to matting. With a proper bath, blow dry, and comb out (or a shave) every six to eight weeks, he should be easy to maintain. He is currently shaved into a comb cut to make grooming even simpler.

Red is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. We are asking a $300.00 rehoming fee for him.

Due to his shy nature, Red will need some time to settle into his new home. It is important to confine any new cat to one small room, such as a bathroom or bedroom, for at least three days to help keep them as stress-free as possible.

While in isolation, you can monitor how well he eats, drinks, and uses his litter box. Don't be surprised if your new cat doesn't poop for 24 to 48 hours. This is normal behavior when a cat experiences a change in environment.

You should place your new cat in his litter box several times when he arrives home. He may not use it immediately and will likely be more interested in exploring his surroundings, but showing him where it is will help him remember when it's time to potty. If he does happen to have an accident outside the litter box, place the waste in the litter box so he can associate it with the proper location. Do not allow him to come out of quarantine until he is consistently using the litter box.

Make sure to spend time sitting in the room with Red at his level, interacting with him using toys and offering plenty of gentle pets. Nautilus Persians are known for their affectionate personalities and love receiving attention and cuddles. Once he feels safe and secure, Red should warm up quickly and become a loving and devoted companion.
