Nautilus Persian's Cat and Kitten Application

The First Step Toward a Nautilus Persian

A few things to know before you apply:

  • All Kittens Leave Vaccinated: All Nautilus Persian kittens are vaccinated at 7 and 11 weeks of age.

  • 12-Week Minimum Go-Home Age: Our kittens never leave for their new homes before a strict minimum of 12 weeks. Following their 11-week vaccination, we require a mandatory 7-to-10-day monitoring window at our cattery. This ensures they are completely stable, healthy, and safe from the stress of moving. We do not make exceptions or accommodate early pick-ups.

  • Breed-Specific Maintenance: Persians are a high-maintenance breed that require daily eye cleaning, and frequent combing and baths to keep the coat light, separated, and mat-free. Applicants must be fully prepared for this lifetime care commitment.

  • Indoor-Only Policy: Our Persians are placed strictly as indoor-only pets. They are not built to handle the elements, and their specialized coats require a clean, controlled indoor environment to thrive.

  • Strict No-Declawing Policy: Declawing is an amputation that permanently alters a cat's skeletal structure, balance, and behavior. Under no circumstances may any kitten from our cattery ever be declawed.

  • Mandatory Spay/Neuter Agreement: All of our kittens are placed strictly as companion pets. We partner with SpaySecure to manage and verify that all kittens are altered before 8 months of age, and official proof from your vet must be submitted directly through their portal.

  • Right of First Refusal: If you ever find yourself unable to keep a Nautilus Persian, you must contact us before considering rehoming, surrendering, or transferring ownership. We retain the right of first refusal and must be given the opportunity to take the cat back or approve an appropriate placement. Our cats may not be sold, given away, surrendered to a shelter or rescue, or transferred to another person without contacting us first.
